As we travel across the country and even locally, we always strive to find a local diner for breakfast.  While sometimes we end up at IHOP, Denny's, Bob Evans, Waffle House, or Huddle House due to some combination of circumstances, the preference is always the "mom and pop" diner where you are likely to see some of the locals.
